While different fulfillment houses, or even different orders, may have various processes, a basic process looks something like this:

deliver mail
Mail always gets into people’s hands, making them more likely to at least look it over. Your job is to make it stand out, to get your message the attention it deserves.

When used efficiently, and especially when integrated with other communication strategies, direct mail brings a very good return on your investment.
You can tailor your direct mailing campaign to exactly match your needs. Who receives your mailing, what kinds of businesses, when is it mail and how it's mailed are just a few options.

Outsourcing fulfillment activities to a fulfillment house relieves a business owner of many responsibilities while providing a partner who is skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced in meeting shipping and storage needs.

  1. The order is entered into the fulfillment house’s system (unless the method by which you transmitted it put it directly into their system).
  2. The order is printed as a packing slip in the fulfillment house’s warehouse.
  3. The item being ordered is picked from the shelf.
  4. The item is packed in a box and sealed.
  5. The packed box is weighed.
  6. The box is labeled with a carrier-compliant label.
  7. The completed order, now ready to ship, is deposited with the carrier.
